The Swiss Restaurant and Pub – 1902-04 Jefferson Ave., Tacoma WA 
The Swiss Society in Tacoma was formed in 1889 and in 1913 constructed the five story Swiss Hall building on this site. For many years it was a welcoming refuge for immigrants moving to Tacoma from the old country and served as a gathering place for wedding receptions, concerts and social events. Over the years occupants of the building included a saloon, a grocery and a brewery. In 1992 the Swiss Society vacated the Hall and it was then renovated and reopened as the Swiss Restaurant and Pub in 1993. The Swiss Restaurant and Pub currently houses a permanent display of Chihuly Glass and is well known as a favorite gathering place in Tacoma’s old brewery district.
